Too many posts

Excuse me I'm new at this but I've made too many posts today.
I promise it won't happen again.

Shrove Tuesday

FARK!!!
Dammit I need a calendar.

It's halfway through the afternoon on SHROVE TUESDAY (better known to non-religious types as Pancake Day) and I'd totally forgotten about it.

Lucky there's a pizza and PANCAKE restaurant back home... guess what I'm having for dinner.

[EDIT] The less said about these pancakes the better, they came up in my Google Image Search... I swear!

Everybody wants...

...but never orders them:

  • Guitar Hero 3 Bundles (PS2)
  • Nintendo Wii Consoles
  • Nintendo DS Consoles
Especially when NO ONE ELSE BLOODY HAS THEM!!!

What is it about the human condition that when we hear "sorry we don't have any in stock at the moment, but we can give you a call when we do if you like" that causes people to change their minds and immediately walk out?

Maybe it triggers the same memory wipe that "authorised by *insert politician here*" which causes me to delete all political/advisory/warnings that they put in TV commercials.

Raining!

wetcat

Fuck me Freddy! It's absolutely bucketing down.
I took a peep at the radar and it's only a few shades off the highest rainfall they can show on the map.
Which in a way is a good thing, given I was able to pop out for a minute and grab some chocolate bars to eat without anyone coming in. So at least Cadbury and Pepsi are a reasonable substitute for sustenance today.
I've almost exhausted the reading material I can muster for the day though, so I've resorted to LOLCATS.

Lame or funny?

The Superbowl was on yesterday, I took half the day off to watch it.

FAIL!

OK so I have failed once again.
Every time I try to change the font on my second post it defaults back to whatever the crappy font it is. Lucky no one reads this shit and soon enough it'll archive itself off the front page.

[EDIT] In fact all my posts seem to be in different fonts... fuck it!

Finishing video games...

I don't have time to finish many video games.
Working all day surrounded by them, reading and talking about them, makes me just want to sit down at home far away from computer monitors and television screens. God forbid this gets out, but sometimes after a long day in the "video game factory" reading a book is a great tonic.

Occasionally, out of the hundreds of games I'll "play" each year, one will hold my attention long enough to finish it. Usually this means I haven't "100%" completed it, but I've at least seen the end cut scene.

On the weekend, I finally bothered polishing of the few remaining stars needed to meet Bowser for the chance to save Princess Peach in Super Mario Galaxy. After beating Bowser on the FIRST ATTEMPT (games were sooo much harder when I was younger) I saw the final cut scene ready to get some action with Peach, or at the very least some cake. Alas there was no cake.

For a limited time only...

For my first rant (I hope that almost sounded like some cheesy magician's opening line), I'd like to get this off my chest:

I HATE FAST FOOD STORES THAT HAVE MENU ITEMS "FOR A LIMITED TIME ONLY"

The Simpson's parodied this perfectly with the Ribwich, but my current beef is not with McDonald's (although they will probably come under fire from me at some point) it is with KFC and their delicious Honey Mustard & Bacon Filla.

The filla was heavily advertised throughout the cricket season, as KFC is an official sponsor of Cricket Australia. Now if you watch some of the ads, you can see how appealing the filla looks at the end of the commercial. Let me tell you, the looks weren't half as good as the taste.

BUT KFC FUCKING TOOK THEM OFF THE MENU!

So my entire lunch roster is thrown out of whack, given the pitiful options I have available to me in this zombie infested shopping centre.

Who can tell I'm hungry and aren't getting a lunch break today...

Moments of weakness...

OK I started a blog.
Apparently I'm approximately ten years behind the times and should have been doing this years ago, but meh.

So in a moment of weakness, whilst stranded here behind the counter all day alone, I've finally progressed enough to join this Web 2.0 thing the kids talk about.

So wish me luck, let's see how often I update.
Just don't expect anything new, revolution or special.
If you've got a problem... it's probably the laser...
